The B Family | A Winter Family Session

Here we have another beautiful snow storm Christmas Tree farm session! It was such a blustery day! I still can’t believe how hard the snow came down. It was so cold and wet, but they toughed it out and got some sweet shots. Check them out!

The T Family | A Winter Family Session

This year, I had the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous family for the first time. We met at a beautiful, local Christmas Tree Farm in, what felt like, a blizzard! They were all troopers, though. Smiling and laughing amidst the snowflakes. By the end of the session, everyone was drenched! I am in LOVE with the images, though!!

S + O | A Mother Daughter Session

I have known S for probably 7 years now. Our relationship isn’t a conventional one, but that’s part of what makes it beautiful. We decided to meet up at a local Christmas Tree farm for some pictures. Nothing screams Christmas pictures like a warm, sunny day, right? Haha! It sure is more comfortable, though! Check out the sweet shots of S and her little girl, O!

Wow! We had SUCH a snowy day for this session!! The snowflakes were coming down hard and fast. These boys were here for it, though! Catching flakes on their tongues and just enjoying every bit of the impending blizzard. They had me laughing and I loved it!

The L Family | A Fall Family Session

This was my third year photographing the delightful L family. Watching their precious daughter grow is just amazing. I know I have mentioned this before, but mom is an incredible talented artist. In addition to her own shop, her work has been featured in numerous stores across the country!

Check out some of the images from this year’s session. We had such a great time!!

The fabulous Miss G is growing up entirely too quickly. I’ve been photographing her since before she was walking, and now she is quite an amazing young woman! Being able to watch these little ones grow, and capturing these moments, is such a special opportunity that never gets old. Check out the wonderful Miss G!!

Julian | A Senior Session

Meet Julian! He’s a talented volleyball player and a hard worker! Although I don’t know him that well, I first met him about 6 years ago when he was working out at the gym. While most boys his age would goof around a bit, he was always very focused and pushed himself to do his best. It was very motivating!! It seems that his work ethic has not dwindled since then. It was a pleasure to do his senior pictures this year, and I know he will succeed at whatever he decides to do!!

Margaret | A College Senior Sesssion

Margaret’s mom reached out to me about doing a “senior” session for her daughter. She had graduated, somewhat recently, from Allegheny College, but the commencement would have taken place at the height of the pandemic, so it was rescheduled. Her mom thought it would be a nice surprise to hire me to capture Margaret in some of her favorite places on campus! We had SUCH a great time, and I really enjoyed learning more about Margaret, her mom, AND the campus!

The H Family | A Summer Family Session

This summer, I had the pleasure of working with this beautiful family from the DC area! They were up visiting family and asked if I would do their session while they were in town. It had been about 7 years since I had last seen them, so I couldn’t believe how grown the kids were!! We had an absolutely gorgeous day!

Greg | Senior Team

Today’s senior interview is from Greg! I first met Greg when he was probably just 9 years old, so when his mom reached out to me about doing his senior pictures, I thought I heard her wrong. Surely that little boy isn’t now a SENIOR!! Alas, I am old, and Greg is most certainly a senior now. I am pleased to share a glimpse into his sessions, and the great things he had to say! Meet…GREG!

Elyse | A Breakthrough Session

I met Elyse for the first time about 3 years ago. Aside from that first meeting, we rarely encountered one another, but seemed to have a bit of a connection. One day, a couple years later, Elyse reached out to me to see if I would be up for the challenge of capturing her in a unique way. Ummm…YES! I present to you, Persephone:

"Persephone, goddess of spring, is not the helpless maiden you hear of in the common version of her myth.

Her 'fall' into the Underworld was not a kidnapping, but the next step
in her evolution,
in her growth,
in her empowerment.

The maiden who had mastered the light of life, within and without, was ready master the
shadows,
death,
rebirth.

For she had always contained darkness.
She could no longer deny it.
So she decided to master it.

In the Underworld,
she learned how to not only face her shadows,
but own them,
work with them,
love them.

And while others had always preferred she stay innocent and childlike forever,
Hades loved her for her darkness, not despite it.

And for it, he made her Queen of all shadows, Queen of the Underworld.

Without giving up anything that made her goddess of spring.

Her journey is your journey.
To maturity.
To self love.
To sovereignty.

To step out of denial out of shame,
into the light that shines no matter how dark the night,
into acceptance,
into allness,
into self-love."
